Programme: Bach Prelude and Fugue in C sharp minor BWV 849 Debussy L’isle joyeuse L106 Liszt Chasse-Neige. Scriabin Sonata No.2. Interval Beethoven Sonata No.11, 1st Mvt Psathas Jettatura Chopin Berceuse Liszt Spanish Rhapsody. Born in 2007, Yuzhang Wu is a Year 11 student in Auckland. She began studying the piano at the age of five and currently studies with Dr. Jian Liu and Bryan Sayer. In 2019, Yuzhang won 1st prize at the 3rd Zhuhai International Mozart Competition for Young Musicians in China, and has won many competitions in New Zealand. She has also performed with orchestras in China, Canada and New Zealand. Most recently, she was selected as one of the three finalists at the National Concerto Competition and will perform with the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra in March. Yuzhang is also an active cellist in Pinehurst School Orchestra and passed ABRSM Cello Grade 8 with high distinction in 2020. Koha would be appreciated.
