Toihoukura is proud to present ‘Mataamua’, a collaborative exhibition of works by Toihoukura students and staff inspired by whakapapa, pūrākau and research by Dr Rangi Mataamua. In the context of ‘Mataamua’, the exhibition provides an opportunity for current Toihoukura students to release and express their creative genius and present the creative excellence that thrives at Toihoukura. 
The focus of Toihoukura is to ensure the continuing development of art forms that are specifically Māori. This is promoted through the development of, and participation in an arts ‘wānanga’ learning environment that encourages the personal and professional development of every student.
