Lightbulb is a free community-led initiative designed to educate, engage and inspire entrepreneurs and changemakers from around the Tairāwhiti.A Lightbulb event utilises the power of the collective to support those in our community by empowering them with the tools and resources to break down barriers that stand in the way of starting and growing their kaupapa. We are particularly interested in supporting those that have a strong environmental and/or social impact model that benefits our local Tairāwhiti community including businesses, charities, individuals, non-profits, clubs and marae.Held on the last Thursday of the month, you can expect 1-2 spotlight presenters will give a six-minute presentation about their venture, project or idea to a diverse audience from our local community. Each presentation is followed by a 20-minute question and answer session where the community ask questions, provide helpful feedback, and share similar experiences or support.Lightbulb events are completely open to the public (limited by venue capacity) even if you would just like to listen and observe, please feel free to come along. Everyone is welcome!
Koha is welcomed & will be used to support our community presenters & their kaupapa. If you are interested in becoming a spotlight presenter at one of our Lightbulb events, please send through your details by filling out this application form: https://forms.gle/vVfwvU7EdWVbDKis8
