Auckland-based alternative band Pocket Money, the brainchild of Chris Marshall of Miss June and The Miltones, have revealed their second single, ‘Start Again’. Following their early 2021 debut ‘Feijoa’, both singles are set to appear on the breakout band’s forthcoming debut album, Silly Salpa.Hazy, haunting synths and guitar chords open the song to a somber atmosphere, as Chris openly explores the phases of post-breakup emotions, between loss, growth, and overcoming; ultimately finding hope on the song’s soothing hook. The single arrives with a music video filmed and edited by frontman Chris Marshall, finding the musician shaving his head as a symbol of new beginnings.Listen to ‘Start Again’ by Pocket Money and watch the music video below:
