We (you and us!) have been given an amazing opportunity to learn te Reo Māori!
We are joining with the team from Te Runanga O Tūranganui-a-Kiwa (TROTAK) to host a weekly Kawhe Klub at The Roastery.
We are really excited about what this will mean for us, our staff and anyone in the cafe who would like to participate in learning te Reo Māori-
Here’s how it works…
Every Thursday between 12pm and 1pm we will be hosting te Reo kaiako (tutors) from TROTAK who will be available in the cafe to help you with your Reo – practicing, pronunciation, or extending on what you know. Resources will be available to guide you (and us!) in your coffee ordering and in basic interactions. There’s no pressure, no judgement – just opportunity!
You can join in (or not) and everyone and anyone is welcome to participate – and it is FREE!
This casual and ‘real life setting’ approach aims to allow EVERYONE the opportunity to learn, practice and connect with others on the Reo pathway.
Nau mai haere mai whanau! – Lock it in your diary!
